Tire Pros

tread life

Tire Cons

not a performance tire

After 7000 miles the tires and tread look brand new. When hard accelerating they lose grip. overall a good tire so far. corners great though. the stiff side wall works great.

Tire Pros

A competent tire all around, BUT...

Tire Cons

Unfixable Shimmies

Regardless of what this tire does well, they shimmied unfixably on my TDI wagon. Discount's incomparable customer care tried everything - multiple balancing tries, road force, even a second replacement set - all to no avail. So I went back to Yok 580's which replaced and surpassed the original Conti's, and voila.

Tire Pros

Quiet, soft ride over expansion joints, potholes. 70k warranty

Tire Cons

None yet.

This is an initial review of the 225/45/17s Pirelli P7 Cinturato A/S with 70000 mile warranty. HUGE difference in ride quality, noise and crashing over potholes compared to the Michelin Pilot Sports that were installed prior. I'm not a lead foot, so I don't think I am sacrificing handling. I want sporty tires that grip, last a long time, and are quiet. So far, so very good. I will check back after the monsoon season to comment on wet traction.

Tire Pros

Ride and noise pretty good.

Tire Cons

Grip and handling pretty poor.

I put these on after I wore out my Conti DWS AS tires, and was pretty disappointed. They'd be fine if you didn't care about athleticism, but on a performance car they're not really appropriate. Overall, they feel pretty dead, slow to turn in, a little rubbery (no pun intended) mid-corner, grip not very good at all. They're discount tire rated as "BEST", along with the Michelin PS AS/3 (which I'm going to swap these out for), but they're not even in the same performance category, though priced similarly. I liked the Contis MUCH better. Will review the Michelins after I put some miles on them.
