Tire Pros

Smooth, quiet, good grip.

Tire Cons

Lacks steering feel, rear tire tread life.

Bought a set of DW's 13000 miles ago. Staggered them 225 front, 245 rear. The fronts still have 8/32 tread, but the rears are down to 3/32. I really want to like these tires, but wearing the rears out in less than 15k is just ridiculous. I'm not really that hard on tires either. Every other vehicle I've owned got at least 35k out of the tires. Many were over 50k. I'm going to be looking for another tire for the rear within the next month. Maybe something with a tread life warranty. I'm also not thrilled with the straight line stability. he car wanders more than with the OEM run-flats, even at higher pressures 36/38. They do offer a smooth, quiet ride though. Maybe my right foot is getting heavier with age...

Tire Pros

Low noise High grip in dry and wet Appearance

Tire Cons

None Provided

Only 300 miles so far, but I can already tell I made the right choice with this tire. My SL weighs in around 4,200 lbs., so I was a bit apprehensive about how this tire would handle the weight and my sometimes over-zealous driving style. I can now confirm that these Conti's are impressive, to say the least, and should provide many comfortable and reassuring miles. The handling of the MB inspires confidence to begin with, but adding the DW's take it to the next level. I was told that they wouldn't perform very well in cold weather (below 45 degress), but at 50 degrees this weekend they kicked ass! Very quiet ride, even with the soft top in place at 70 on the freeway. If you're looking for a high performance/summer tire that will allow you to let loose when so inspired, or just tool down the highway in total comfort, this is it!
