Tire Pros

Quiet, soft

Tire Cons

A lite vibration every once in a while at 70 mph +

I, like many others, was tired of the OEM, loud run-flat tires on my 2008 BMW 328i. After researching tires for about 3 months, I decided to pull the trigger on a set of Continental DWS. I couldn't be happier with my decision. There was an immediate difference in ride quality. My ride was softer and with little to no road noise. I would highly recommend this tire to those looking to replace RFTs.

Tire Pros

Quiet ride, responsive steering, solid wet/dry traction for a UHP all-season.

Tire Cons

Never properly balanced, always pulled to the right, factory has quality issues.

I initially purchased these tires based on the great reviews on TireRack and on several car forums. Shortly after I purchased them, but before I had a chance to get them mounted, I started reading of quality issues with the DWS. People buying sets of tires and 1+ being out of round straight from the factory. Unfortunately, mine were all bad right out of the box. I had my local Discount Tire rebalance the wheels/tires numerous times, but it never completely fixed the issue. Additionally, my car had a bad right pull with these tires. I eventually had the tires balanced by a competiting shop, and they confirmed that 3 of the 4 Road Force Balanced bad (I'd had the 1 "good" tire replaced by DT), with the 4th (the newest tire) being right on the limit of being bad. I evaluated my options, and had my local DT switch the tires out for the Kumho Ecsta 4X. So far so good on the 4X, I have maybe 3k miles on them.

Tire Pros

-Price -Quality -Handling -Durability

Tire Cons

-Road noise -Comfort -Snow traction

These tires are far better then my last set by Goodyear. Vibration is almost non existent however they still deliver a good road feedback. The only thing I wish these tires would do is provide a more comfortable ride and less road noise but for the price I think they do an excellent job.

Tire Pros

Super quiet Good tread wear

Tire Cons

Very soft sidewalls Squishy corning

Changed them to reduce road noise from a set of BF Goodrich g-force T/A KDWNTs. These were terrible tires by the way.Anyway, the noise reduction from the Contis was SUPER impressive! Side walls punctured against a curb in the first week and had to replace one tire. Anytime you get a flat, the tire will be ruined as the sidewalls only have a single ply. This seems to add to it sluggish feel in dry corning. Snow, and then wet is where the tires preformed the best. When I bought this set, they were $122 a piece. Now they are over $160 which is too much for this level quality of tire in my opinion. Now have a set of Cooper Zeon RS3-A @ $105 a piece. Ride noise is great as well. Stiffer ride so far.
