Tire Pros

Snow traction, good ride, low noise for style

Tire Cons

None

First the disclaimer - this FJ doesn't get off road much. It's primary purpose in life is to get to the ski slopes, so I can't speak to these OE tires' off-road and trail capabilities. But the FJ and the tires have provided rock-solid traction in all sorts of winter conditions - up to 18" of snow, sheet ice, etc. Only this last winter, with the tread depth becoming marginal at 52,000 miles, did I have any traction problems and they were minor. I consider the treadwear excellent, and road noise is low for this style of tire. The ride is excellent. Handling is good enough for me to have dodged a deer that jumped right in front of me at midnight. The tires could probably make it to 60,000 if I stuck to wet or dry roads, but I'll have to replace them before hitting the slopes this winter. Might consider the H/T 684's but only if I'm convinced they are better than these.

I like a bit more aggressive tread. Over all for this type of vehicle and general driving the tires are fine.
