Tire Pros

Responsive, quick turn-in, lack of 'tramlining.'

Tire Cons

Slightly harsh ride.

I lost faith in my Continental Extreme Contact DWs after 13K miles and two blowouts in 6 mos. (probably coincidence, but the tires were almost to the wear bars anyway and I lost confidence in them). By comparison, the Comp 2s have sharper turn-in and are in general a bit more responsive than the Continentals. When they were new, at least, the Continentals had a tendency to follow grooved concrete--the rear of my Mustang would do the samba on some stretches of Hwy. 280; the Comp 2's don't seem to have that issue. Noise is comparable, but my car is noisy anyway so tire noise is a non-issue. The ride is a bit harsher than the ECs. Haven't had a chance to check out rainy conditions, but have driven on wet, slick asphalt and grip seems good.
