Tire Pros

Price vs stock Michelin. Wet Traction

Tire Cons

Unstable at high speed. Bad Handling

While I had heard good things about these S04s, I am highly disappointed with their performance. The wet and dry traction are good, however the stability is substandard and outright dangerous. I would not recommend these to anyone. Going back with the pilot sports.

Tire Pros

Low cost relative to Michelin Pilot Sports (the usual choice), decent life

Tire Cons

Still low life compared to regular tires

Had to write a review to counter the previous review. I have no idea what he's talking about with straight line stability. I've been over 130 mph multiple times and for extended periods on these tires and they are rock solid! (Perhaps he should check the alignment on his Cadillac?) I got roughly 23,000 miles out of them, which I suppose is about as good as one can expect out of high-performance tires. (I'd love to hear if others were getting more with other brands) Dry traction is excellent and road noise is as well. (Many low-profile tires can be noisy in my experience!) I can't speak to rain or snow traction, since I live in the desert, but I'm guessing they're about par for this type of tire (i.e. mediocre at best). Overall a good deal compared to the previous Michelin Pilot Sports. I will likely get these again...
