How to use your Tire Protection Certificates
Step 1: Bring your vehicle to Discount Tire
If you experience tire damage or a flat, visit your nearest Discount Tire location.
Step 2: We'll inspect the tire & validate coverage
Our tire experts will inspect your tire and determine whether the tire can be safely repaired.
Step 3: Repair, Refund, or Replacement
Depending on the condition of your tire:
- Eligible damage may be repaired
- Eligible non-repairable damage may qualify for refund or replacement
- Manufacturer defects may qualify for additional coverage
WHAT IS COVERED?
Tire Protection Certificates cover eligible:
Road hazard damage
This may include:
- Nails and screws
- Glass
- Potholes
- Road debris
- Other unexpected road conditions
Manufacturer defects
Coverage may also apply to qualifying manufacturer defects in workmanship or materials.
Tire Protection Certificate Eligibility Requirements
Your Tire Protection Certificate coverage may apply when:

Your tire fails due to a non-repairable road hazard or manufacturer defect, AND
-
Your tire has more than 3/32’’ of tread depth, AND
-
Your tire is within 3 years of purchase date
All of these requirements must be met before coverage can be redeemed.
Repair, Replacement & Refund Options
If your tire can be repaired
If eligible damage can be safely repaired, we'll repair your tire free of charge under your Tire Protection Certificate coverage.
If your tire cannot be repaired
If your tire cannot be safely repaired, your Tire Protection Certificate may provide:
- A replacement tire option (not including sales tax)
- A full refund of the covered tire purchase, plus applicable sales tax
