Cooper Discoverer Snow Claw Studdable, 195 /75 R16 110R C7 BSW
When winter strikes, you want sure-footed grip from your tires. Designed for just that purpose, Cooper Discoverer Snow Claw snow tires hold fast to the road so you can keep your truck or SUV rolling no matter how bad the weather gets this winter.
Cooper Discoverer Snow Claw Features
If the snowflakes on the sidewall don't give it away, then the name surely does: the Cooper Discoverer Snow Claw is a winter tire designed to literally claw through snow. Whether you're commuting to the worksite or taking a family road trip for the holidays, inclement winter weather can't stop you when you ride on a set of Snow Claw tires from Cooper.
Allegedly inspired by the snow leopard, a sure-footed predator that thrives in harsh winter habitat, the Discoverer Snow Claw features Cooper's Snow-Groove technology.
This feature traps snow in the tread pattern of your Cooper snow tires, allowing for snow-on-snow traction. That means confident performance no matter how deep the powder gets.
But the winter performance doesn't stop there. The Snow Claw is studdable and features pin holes for added grip on ice. Think of these studs as extra claws that help your vehicle latch onto especially icy roads.
Other performance features of the Discoverer Snow Claw include:
- The 3-Peak Mountain Snowflake Rating, certifying this tire for use in extreme snow and winter weather.
- For workhorse performance no matter how cold it gets, this tire is built with a Winter Grip tread compound, which stays flexible below 45 degrees.
- Adhesion in snow is provided by the notched tread blocks and lateral grooves.
- For stability and grip in wet and wintry conditions, 3D sipes hold onto the road while locking together to reduce tread pattern squirm.
Cooper Discoverer Snow Claw Treadwear and Warranty
Cooper's animal-inspired Snow Claw represents the next evolution in winter tire performance. With its durable winter tread compound and stable construction, it's optimized for fierce grip no matter the weather. But it also works to resist deformation under the weight of your vehicle, which helps extend its overall service life.
For you, that means long-lasting tread life for many winters of cat-like grip. However, as with other winter-focused tires, the Cooper Discoverer Snow Claw is not backed by a manufacturer mileage warranty. So if you're on the prowl for coverage that will give you confidence to take to the road, consider adding our exclusive Certificates to your order.
Designed for absolute peace of mind regardless of the forecast, our Certificates will cover your Cooper snow tires from the first cold snap all the way to the ninth life (or 3/32” of tread).
And if your tires suffer any damage that can't be repaired, we'll set you up with a brand new replacement tire so you can get back on the road as quickly as possible.
(You can add our Certificate coverage in the cart of your order.)
Embrace your inner animal and outfit your SUV or light truck with a set of Cooper Discoverer Snow Claw tires.

Discoverer Snow Claw Studdable Customer Reviews
Sierra 3500 HD
Bought the tires especially for winter driving. These tires are GREAT in the snow. They have good traction and don't lug up like my old tires and no problem on wet or rainy roads. I'd buy'm again and I have recommended them to friends.

Good tires. First set of snow tires I have ever had. Had no problems. Gave me confidence in driving in our various Montana winter weather road conditions.

I bought the "Snow Claws" for driving in winter conditions and was not disappointed. GREAT traction. My old tires would lug-up with snow and spin, not these babies! I haven't felt any slippage in wet, slushy or deep snow and I've driven off-road in the snow with them without a problem. VERY satisfied with the purchase,
F-350
Best wear of any snow tire I have had on my vehicles. These will be the seventh set I have ran. Carbide studs still look new.
Ram 2500
Bought the non-studded set for my old snow plowing truck after the previous set aged out after 10 years. Have not needed to resort to chains this winter yet. Bought them because they were cheaper than the "glamor" brands. Hard to comment on tread wear since they will most likely age out before they wear out so five stars given. Overall extremely pleased with these. Very quiet. They feel solidly planted in all road conditions; dry, wet, loose and packed snow, even slightly icy roads and have been good off pavement. My experience has been good enough that these are now in contention as a winter tire for my 1-ton next year.
