Pilot Super Sport Customer Reviews
These are the tires spec'd by GM for this model Corvette. They are a relatively soft rubber compound optimized for grip/traction, and thus will wear out at about 30,000 miles. I got 31,000 mi on the first set of tires, so this mileage rating is very accurate. The grip is INCREDIBLE, so these tires live up to their claim. They are also excellent in the rain, which is a pleasant surprise for such a performance optimized tire. No hydroplaning despite the tires being 10" wide! Overall, I am very happy with these tires - handling and traction is awesome, and 30,000 miles wear is acceptable for a tire with such outstanding grip. They hold pressure well - it's been 3 months since installation, and they are still at 30 psi, exactly as inflated when installed. America's Tire personnel are a pleasure to work with, and I appreciate their dedication to doing an excellent job.
Outstanding traction and smooth ride but by far the loudest tire I've ever owned... they literally make a howling sound on the freeway.
I noticed an improved ride quality & I'm much more comfortable going in and coming out of turns! The tires on my Vette normally dry out before wearing out.. That's bad. So new tires always remind me of what I missed...
