About Our Tire Shop

Discount Tire in Athens has the right stuff when it comes to your wheel and tire needs. We’re located on Ultimate Drive at Atlanta Highway (U.S. 78 Business), in the campus area, between Athens BMW and Hughes Subaru. 

Our specialties are new rims and tires at the best prices! Our experts perform precision work on your vehicle in our three service bays, including wheel and tire installation, repair, rotation, and balancing. Stop in for a complimentary air pressure check. There’s easy access to our parking lot, with plenty of room to maneuver your trailer or RV.

We take pride in the cleanliness of our store and facilities. Watch your service from the waiting area in our showroom, where you can take advantage of our free Wi-Fi. Prefer to shop or grab something to eat during your service? Hardee’s, Target, GameStop, Popeyes, and Panera Bread are within a short walking distance. Many customers also enjoy the long grassy area behind the store for their small children and/or pets.

We welcome walk-ins or you can schedule your appointment in advance.

I've been a Discount Tire customer for years, I appreciate the professionalism, knowledge and time it takes to be at the locations I've visited. I was able to convince my nephew to go there and get some tires. He was happy with the price and time it took for the installation.

Friendly staff that had no problem working me in sooner than my appointment. Knowledgeable and explained everything. Communicated timely and kept me in the loop. The tire was a directional tire and initially was completed but incorrectly within 20 min. They updated me on the error and needing to fix it. They graciously apologized and righted the error. Would go back to them in a heartbeat.

I had a great experience replacing 22-inch tires on my Rivian R1S. The technicians were friendly, professional, and efficient. I was in and out in 45 minutes. The store was clean and comfortable. I'm used to tire shops that take forever and feel like the DMV. I'm so glad I tried Discount Tire! I'll be back.
