Had a blowout on my way home from work and after calling for a tow truck, I called Discount Tire. I didn't need to call anyone else. I showed up, they confirmed who I was, took my keys, and got to work. From the moment my tire blew until the moment i arrived home safely with 2 new tires, we under 3 hours. That's impressive. If you want an affordable and time efficient experience, buy your tires here. I only wish they offered more repair services and I wouldn't have to go anywhere else for all my car's needs.

Hello, I’m a long time (20yrs plus) customer but after yesterday I’m honestly questioning my future patronage at Discount Tire. Yesterday I came in for a tire rotation and I notice a sales person talking with a young lady about thread depth and lug nut conditions, didn’t think much of it, then he came to me and went into a pitch of how my lug nuts need replacing. He tried to explain to me that because of the caps on the lug nuts they were having trouble getting them reinstalled and torqued properly. I told him that I have never had an issue doing this myself and that I have never had an issue with sockets or lug wrenches fitting on any of my vehicles in almost 40 years that I’ve owned them. He proceeded to tell me that it would be bad if I needed to change a flat tire and couldn’t get the tire off because of a bad lug nut. I’ve been a machinist for 35 years, one of my primary job functions at the facility I work at is the removal of stuck or broken fasteners, plus I’ve never experienced this so it’s not an issue. I told him to just quote me new lug nuts but I’m not getting them this time. He then told me that the issue is that they could not reinstall them because they could not get their sockets to fit on the lug nuts correctly, I said, just do the best you can, I’ll torque them when I get home. He gave in and I sat down, literally 10 seconds later he comes back and says let me talk to my manager, we are going to just install the new lug nuts and not charge you. I then went outside because I’m annoyed at this point only to look over at my vehicle in the bay on the ground with all four tires on and lug nuts on and finished. Now, there is absolutely no way they had all four reinstalled, vehicle lowered, nuts torqued in at most 1 minute of time. Here’s where it gets even more ridiculous, I have what’s called acorn lug studs, one piece nut/stud design for lug nuts. They are one piece, no, I mean no caps on the head of the nuts to swell or cause an issue. Also, he clearly had new ones installed before any type of confirmation that it was okay by me to proceed. I really don’t like being pressured to buy something that one doesn’t make sense and two, doesn’t apply to me, at the end of the day I was basically lied to in a sales pitch for this location to make a few extra dollars. I’ve had this happen before at Kaufman Tire during a tire rotation where they did their 15 point inspection, brought a dirty air filter to get me to buy and have them to install a new one. Problem there was the filter they showed me wasn’t even the correct filter for my car as I proceeded to get a new filter from the trunk and show the sales representative that he was scamming me and didn’t know what he was talking about. I understand that Discount is a large company but y’all need to do better, don’t lie to people and don’t push products that are not needed.
