New Tires and Wheel Store in Portage, IN 46368

I was losing air in 2 of my tires daily. I took my car in to be checked out. I was happy that my 2 tires just needed new stems.

Great staff, good service.

I seen my tire pressure was down causing my TPS to initiate on my dash. I checked the tire and found a carpenter type staple lodged in the tread center of tire. I had just bought the 2025 Kia K5 and tire had only 396 miles on it. I drove to the Portage, IN store to patch my tire. I was greeted by Joel D. and he grabbed bottle of spray to check how bad tire was leaking and turned out badly. He suggested setting up appointment for later that day due to high volumne of work going on at store. I returned a few hours later as scheduled and tire repairman drove my car into bay two and removed tire, placed a nice patch inside tire and remounted the tire. Joel D. came out and stated, "There's a problem with the tire". He showed me a golf ball size bulge on the sidewall. This required replacement of the tire. Joel D. did price match on another competitor's tire, but was still going from a no charge flat repair to hundred's of dollars to replace the tire. Had him order the tire and scheduled for Monday to have new tire installed. However, the next day I received an email of the tire was at the store. I called and spoke with Jamie and at first he could not get me in on Saturday was booked. When explained about the bulge he got me in at noon. The store manager Daniel K. took charge of the install cost and stated, "There will be no charge to you for the new tire". I did offer to pay the store's actual cost, but it was turned down. This experience told me that there are some businesses and staff members who care about their customers. The integrity shown from day one by Joel D., Jose O., Jamie and manager Daniel K., went the extra steps and now I am a lifelong customer with Discount Tire of Portage and if the day comes and move will look up local Discount Tire Business.
