Pro G5 CSV Customer Reviews
These tires ride better than your average entry level tire and have good characteristics when they break traction. They do break traction fairly quickly dry or wet compared to a higher performance tire. Why this isn't a problem is because they don't let go all at once and do break traction gradually. I regularly drive a road with long sweeping high speed turns that is classified as a 2 lane highway. The speed limit is way above the recommended speed on the orange signs. In these situations, more than 10mph above reccommended speed and the tires are slipping, but don't "let go". They allow you to drive with throttle when appropriate, like this, and mean that I like using them even if their raw performance isn't as great as their competition. I've used these tires on 2 sporty dailies and will continue to buy them. They do not last as long as rated, but that's because they do slide and let you drive them at their limit instead of acting dangerously at the limit. I will always pay a bit extra to buy more tires than buy something more expensive just hoping it lasts longer. Tires are there to keep you safe and tire life is only a small part of what you're buying. If you are a competent driver who understands what I am saying in this review, these are the tires you were looking for. Will they last 30k miles? Haven't for me, but I drive my cars hard and a lot of miles and just deal with the wear. If they were just on the highway, they'd probably last longer than they do for me, but I get about 18k out of a set driving them as hard as they can take.
