Ziex ZE001 A/S Customer Reviews
Forester
The tires are performing well. When I pull my boat out of the water they have great traction.
CX-30
One of the tires developed a cord separation and I Han to replace all 4. Bad experience.
Forester
Bought a set of these tires because they came on our 2019 Subaru Forester from the OEM and were amazingly smooth and quiet. However, if there is one bad tire out of 100 made in a lot, that’s the one I usually get. There was a noticeable high frequency vibration in the car as soon as we left the Discount Tire garage. The faster we went, the faster the vibration, especially irritating at highway speeds. Took it back immediately where a rebalance was performed, but didn’t help. Took it back a second time and was told there is something wrong with the car because the tires are balanced. I know you can balance an egg-shaped tire and still have vibration because it’s out-of-round. So before the the third visit, I rotated the spare all the way around the car and found which tire was causing the problem evident by the vibration disappearing when I put the spare on the driver side front position. I took it back told them what I did and wanted the tire replaced. They said they could not do that without performing a road-force balance, which they did and said it was good. BTW, they also said they found that tire had been counter-balanced during a previous visit causing the vibration. We’ll, that didn’t change anything and the vibration was still present. I performed the spare tire routine once more and found the same tire was the culprit. On the fourth follow-up visit, I finally convinced them to replace the tire under the manufacturer’s warranty. That fixed it and the vibration is now gone. We weren’t able to drive the car out of town for a year because of the extent of the vibration at highway speed and only put about 1,200 around town miles on the car in a year. This was a very frustrating ordeal and pretty much restricted us from using the car except for short around town trips. This is what happened in this instance, but I will still use Discount Tire in the future as they seem to have the best prices and are courteous when performing service. They just don’t want to give up a replacement tire based on the customer’s opinion, since everyone has one, and do their due diligence and investigate the cause. It was just frustrating and tough for me given my 44+ years experience as a mechanic.
