The Ventus R-S4 is an ultra-high performance competition summer tire. It offers excellent lap results and the best machine-controlled performance possible. Designed to thrill even in wet weather, the Ventus R-S4 utilizes highly dispersible silica,  while a functionalized polymer and two circumferential grooves significantly boost wet traction and enhance hydroplaning resistance.

Drivers should be careful of heavy rain or standing water and exercise caution when driving under these conditions.

Luckily this tire is also built to last with its two-ply casing and twin wide steel belt construction supporting the tread. Meanwhile, it features a jointless nylon cover that maximizes handling and tread stabilization (for a long tread life), as well as a bolstered shoulder to take the abuse of the track.

Other features of the Ventus R-S4 include:

• Its all new carbon black and silica high grip tread compound is molded into a directional, low void pattern for supreme stickiness and traction.

• A wide, continuous center rib causes uninterrupted contact with the road, giving you continuous, centered feeling and immediate steering response. 

• Cornering is kid stuff with massive outboard shoulder blocks, perfect for high-g maneuvering and motorsport-style driving. 

• Chamfered block edges optimize contact with the pavement under a load. 

• A high-modulus bead filler and sidewall reinforcement reduce sidewall flex to create immediate steering response. 

As the Hankook Ventus R-S4 is a summer tire, it should not be used, serviced or stored in below freezing temperatures or driven in snow and ice.
