Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/T
Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/T
If anybody could make the pinnacle all-terrain tire ever created, it would be the folks at Mickey Thompson tires, an industry leader in off-roading and racing. And it looks like they’ve come close with the Baja Boss A/T, which triumphs over any off-road obstacles and yet gives optimal on the road performance.
Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/T Features
A premium extreme hybrid all-terrain tire, the Baja Boss A/T inherits its high grade features from its predecessors. It blends the notable performance of the Baja ATZP3 with the innovative design of the Baja Boss M/T, delivering endless performance and tread life no matter the weather conditions, as well as aggressive aesthetic, and a smooth, quiet ride. It’s available in 17 to 22 inch sizes, making it widely suitable for most SUVs and pickups.
This really is an all-terrain tire with everything. Not only is it meant for both on and off-road use, sizes 12.50/315 and narrower are approved for severe snow service and feature the Three-Peak Mountain Snowflake Symbol. The Baja Boss AT uses a silica-reinforced compound to handle road tread wear, resist cuts and chips, and increase wet handling and braking performance.
This tire is tough with an asymmetrical tread pattern to keep down the noise and increase traction. Plus, Extreme SidebitersⓇ deliver insane off-road traction, protection and in your face aesthetic. We’re not sure what can get through its PowerPly™ XD construction, which gives 50% extra denier cord for puncture resistance, handling and steering response compared to Mickey Thompson’s original PowerPly™.
Other performance features of the Baja Boss A/T include:
- Asymmetrical tread design brings down the noise but raises traction and handling
- Severe snow service rated, giving you confidence in severe winter conditions
- Extreme Sidebiters® that are 150% deeper than Baja ATZP3
- All-season performance and cut/chip resistance due to new silica-reinforced compound
- Powerply™ XD construction gives improved puncture resistance, steering and stability

Customer Reviews
Would get them again for my Bronco. Perform great off-road in snow, mud, and rocky terrain.
Tires are fairly smooth and comfy for an AT, also due to them being a non LT. These are much louder than I expected, have had other AT tires that were/ are significantly quieter. Time will tell how long they last and how they do in the snow. All in all I would not buy them again based on the highway hum alone, had I known they'd be loud I would've purchased a different tire.
This is my second set of these tires, they perform very well on road wet or dry and also snow and muddy logging roads.
Great tire for traction all around from Dry to Wet roads. And is the best tire I have owned for snow traction other than a winter tire. I have owned two sets of these and there draw back is fuel efficiency. They are not loud driving down the highway and they handle the weight of towing large trailers while. Took them off and trying the Bridgestone Maverick AT now and they are amazing also!
These are by far the best tire I have ever ran on a 1/2 truck. Been through Toyo AT2s, BFG KO2s and wrangler duratracs on 2 different Ram Rebels. The KO2s were great, the AT2s had terrible wet traction and the Duratracs had terrible traction all the way around and were loud. The MT Baja Boss ATs not only look amazing but traction has been great, road noise minimal for an aggressive AT tire. Wear has been great as well. Im 36k in on this set and they show minimal wear.
