When adventure comes calling, is your light truck, SUV or 4x4 equipped with the right tires to get you out and back? If you're not sure, the Nitto Trail Grappler M/T is here to give you that confidence.

Nitto Trail Grappler M/T Features

Whether you're off seeking adventure in your rig or using it to run errands, the Trail Grappler MT puts down maximum traction that thrills off-road while keeping your commute comfortable.

Featuring the aggressive tread pattern of a mud terrain with the creature comforts of an all-terrain, Nitto Trail Grappler tires are engineered to keep you comfortable on the road and empower you to let loose on the trails, whether you're driving through mud, rocks or sand.

And if you find yourself wondering if a mud terrain can drive comfortably on paved roads, we have the answer.

With a 3D computer-simulated tread pattern, Nitto was able to ensure that the Trail Grappler MT is quiet at street and highway speeds. To guarantee surprising on-road comfort in a mud terrain tire, Nitto used their proprietary manufacturing system to create a uniform construction in the Grappler M/T that ensures smoother rolling tires.

Other performance features of the Nitto Trail Grappler MT include:

  • A high void tread pattern that works to self clean, rapidly removing mud, sand and soil from the contact patch for aggressive and sustained off-road performance.
  • For additional off-road grip that doesn't sacrifice tread block stability, these tires feature all-season traction enhancing reinforced shoulder grooves.
  • A 3-ply sidewall with high turn-up constructioncreates more reinforcement for puncture and tear resistance.
  • Dual sidewall designs allow you to select your style; traditional lettering and aggressive shoulder lugs or a unique v-shaped lugs for a more rugged look.

Nitto Trail Grappler MT Treadwear and Warranty

Nitto took the best comfort features of their Terra Grappler tires and combined them with the aggressive off-road elements of the Mud Grappler to create a mud terrain tire that gives drivers the best of both worlds: relentless off-road performance and a surprisingly comfortable, quiet ride on the road.

When it comes to mud terrain tires in general, you might not be as worried about tire life or mileage warranties. But if these are considerations you're making in your next set of tires and you want worry-free exploring, consider getting the best coverage for your new Trail Grappler tires with our exclusive Certificates.

When you protect your tires with our Certificates, you're getting the most robust tire coverage on (or off) the road. And in the extremely unlikely event your Nitto Trail Grappler tires fail or sustain any non-repairable damage while you're mudding, crawling, fording or otherwise wheeling, we'll give you a brand new replacement tire.

(You can add our Certificate coverage in the cart of your order.)

If you want to dial the off-road capability of your 4x4 up a notch without sacrificing on-road comfort, you're looking at the right tire for the job—the Nitto Trail Grappler M/T.

So quiet. Too bad Discount tire didn't mount them properly. There are dots on the sidewall for a reason. One wheel has about 3 lbs of sticky magnets on it.

Live in rural high desert. Extensive travel on dirt, gravel, muddy and poorly maintained county roads. No off roading. Very quiet for mud tire on highway. Excellent mud traction for a non aggressive mud tire. Lugs chip more than I would expect on gravel roads. Third set I ran on my 1500 Ram. Will buy them again when this set wears out.

These are on my daily driver/toy. I'm on my third set. The first two sets lasted approximately 45k miles each. They've been on the Rubicon and to Moab several times as well as too many to count Northern Nevada trails. They handle phenomenal in the snow/ice of the Sierras as well as the horrific road conditions of Washoe County, Nevada. These are the only tires I'll run on my Wrangler and my husband feels the same for his Dodge diesel truck. We've always bought the E rating and have had both 35 and 37s.
