Customer Reviews
Love these tires so far. They are on a convertible, so haven't driven it much in the last 6 months since I live in MN, but when I have, they have been really grippy, smooth, and easy rolling.

When my All-Season tires/wheels come off in the Spring, these 200 TW Summer Ultra-high Performance tires/lightweight wheels (purchased as a package from DT) go on. I use them mainly for daily driving and weekend solo competition in SCCA-sanctioned events. The Yokohamas are comparable to the Bridgestone Potenza RE-71Rs, but seem to wear somewhat better. And in the wet, the Yokohama has much more traction than the Bridgestones. It takes a little longer (seconds, not minutes) for these tires to heat up and get sticky, but when they do finally bite into the pavement, you don't have to worry about them letting go. Cornering is absolutely amazing. Combined with lightweight wheels, these are exactly what a sportscar needs to do what it was built for. The OEM tires on my car, also made by Yokohama, were a terrible disappointment. These Yokos are not. I added -1.4 degrees of camber to all four corners of my Weekend Warrior, with absolutely no abnormal or uneven tread wear. This alignment also eliminated understeer, and I am still trying to learn how to induce some more oversteer. There tires may actually be too sticky to rotate the car! On the highway, the Yokohams are not as quiet as my A/S tires, but they generate much less noise than the RE-71Rs (which actually ROAR at-speed). If you have a lightweight car (e.g., Mazda MX5, Fiat 124, Honda Civic, Toyota GR Yaris, etc.), these tires will last much, much longer than their 200 TW rating suggests. I ran my RE-71Rs for four years, on the street and closed courses. When I purchased the Yokohamas, I gave my Bridestones to a fellow competitor. He is STILL driving on them! Both are excellent choices. What caused me to switch horses was the fact that almost every 2024 National Champion in SCCA competition were riding on Yokos! You will not be disappointed.
