Terrain Contact A/T Customer Reviews
Very solid tire…I would purchase them again…
Really good on dirt roads
I purchased these Continental Terrain Contact A/T’s for my 2003 Toyota tundra 4wd. I think it is silly for discount tire to ask for a “star” review on tread life when it’s only been three months since I purchased these tires so I just gave it three stars because that still remains to be seen. Pros. - These tires are fantastic in wet conditions. They handle very well on dry roads and are smooth on pavement. They also do well for light offloading. Cons.- These tires are noisy. The reviews that give them a (5) for road noise is a head scratcher to me. Maybe they came from a more aggressive all-terrain tread pattern or even a mud terrain tire over to these which I guess would make them seem quiet. One important thing that I purchase a tire for is that it is quiet. I knew going in this was an A/T tire, but I just thought with all of the 5 stars for road noise they would have been quieter. The most disappointing thing about these Continental tires is that I lost around 2 mpg. I switched from a Goodyear Wrangler All-Terrain Adventure with Kevlar tire which I got about 45k really good miles out of them, but I thought I would try something different which was a mistake, (for me anyway). The Goodyears were very quiet, did great in wet and even snowy conditions and were good on the light off-roading that I do at my farm. When I have to buy new tires again, I will most likely be going back to the Goodyears. I hope this helps someone.
Really no change from new to 12300 miles on them. Some road noise is becoming louder now but nothing excessive.
