I selected race for spirited mountain driving in my S2000. These are my first 200tw tire after owning the car for 10 years. I really like the step up in sidewall stiffness and resistance to sidewall flex under hard cornering. Grip is very good once warmed and no worse than my previous Firehawks when cool. This is the best and fastest tire I’ve used so far for spirited driving. No wet roads yet.
Tires grip very well on dry pavement, car I put these on (73 Camaro) I don't drive in the rain. Gripped really good on the track.
They grip like crazy. They are a better tire than I am a driver. I’ve only made the squeal one time. They hook up, ride great, and are even good in the wet. They’re a fantastic performance tire. They handled Tail of the Dragon a few times and all the other fantastic roads around there and Central Virginia.
