Good traction Im.very happy but doubt they will make the milage advertised on a heavy truck
I wanted to try the Geolanders after going through two sets of Pirelli Scorpion All Terrain Plus tires and a set of Goodyear Duratrac’s before that. Those Duratrac’s were great tires, but they just get so incredibly loud when they get worn, so I tried the Pirelli’s. The Pirelli’s were better overall than the Duratrac’s, but the tread didn’t last as long. I only got a second set of the Pirelli’s because they had a fantastic deal when it was time to get new tires. This time I went with the Geolanders, but I got them right when winter started, and since these are on my wife’s FJ Cruiser, she noticed right away that they were not as good in the snow and ice. The Duratrac’s were the best in the snow, followed closely by the Pirelli’s. The Geolanders are just “average” in the snow. I’ll have to go with some winter specific tires this coming winter, and just use the Geolander’s for the rest of the year. If you don’t have lots of snow where you live, then the Geolanders are great. However, if you need a good tire for snow, then I’d go with something else. This review did not allow me to rate snow use, but on a 0-5 scale, with a winter tire like the Blizzak DM-V2 being a 5/5, I’d rate the Duratrac at 4/5, the Pirelli at 3.5/5, and the Geolander at 2 or 2.5/5.
