Taskmaster Contender TTT868

When you need to haul a heap of things, your top contender is the Taskmaster Contender TTT868. This trailer tire offers performance and long wear at a value. Other features include:

  • The Contender TTT868 is a high-value radial trailer tire for trailers, toy haulers and RVs.

  • This tire is not meant to be mounted on light trucks as it cannot support the weight and performance of vehicles; it’s constructed for trailer use only.

  • You can expect durability and strength due to this tire’s large shoulder blocks, rugged radial construction and specialized tread compound.

  • Ideal for heavy loads on short and long journeys, this tire offers strength, durability and reliability at a value.

  • The internal structure is reinforced to maintain its ideal shape under heavy loads.

  • The symmetric ribbed tread pattern keeps constant surface contact, increasing high-load stability.

  • Structurally, the tire utilizes a polyester cord body to maintain the ideal tire shape.

  • This polyester cord body also minimizes vibrations by allowing the tire to absorb shocks, bumps and swaying.

  • Available in 13’’–16’’ rim diameters, this trailer tire fits a huge array of trailers.

  • The Contender TT868 has an M speed rating.

These are trailer tires. Installed 4 new tires on our 5th wheel camper before heading on a trip. 1 tire failed with less than 2000 miles on it. 80 miles from the previous fuel stop/tire pressure/tire temperature check. Passenger side front tandem tire failed in an interstate construction zone. Had to drive 4 miles to a spot to pull over out of traffic. Tire sidewall failed, cap/tread was still intact. Not enough sidewall remaining to determine if it was road damage or just a defective tire. Finished the trip on the spare. Tire was replaced under warranty.
