Upgrade to the Toyo Open Country A/T III 235/65R16 121R C8 BSW, an all-terrain tire built for drivers who want off-road traction, responsive on-road handling, wet-road confidence, severe-snow capability, and a quiet, stable ride. This 235/65R16 Open Country A/T III is a popular commercial metric fitment for select Ram ProMaster, Freightliner Sprinter, Nissan NV Cargo, Chevrolet Express, Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, Ford Transit models, plus similar trucks, SUVs, vans, and lifted builds using 16-inch wheels.

Best for: daily drivers and weekend adventurers who need off-road bite, long tread life, and stable on-road handling on commercial vans, camper vans, work vans, and utility vehicle conversions, especially in a 235/65R16 size with 121R C8 capability.

Why choose the Toyo Open Country A/T III in 235/65R16?

  • Built for commercial vans, camper vans, work vans, and utility vehicle conversions: The 121R C8 rating gives this size commercial-strength load support for vans, cargo, camper conversions, and work-ready utility applications.

  • On-road comfort with off-road bite: The Open Country A/T III is designed for predictable highway handling, quiet ride quality, and confident traction on gravel, dirt, job sites, and weekend trails.

  • 3PMSF severe-snow capability: The tire carries the three-peak mountain snowflake symbol, giving truck and SUV drivers added confidence in cold weather and winter conditions.

  • Durable all-terrain tread: Toyo's advanced tread compound and design focus on wet braking and handling, cut-and-chip resistance, off-road grip, and long treadwear life.

  • Trail-ready tread features: Staggered shoulder lugs, stone-ejecting blocks, increased lateral grooves, and 3D multi-wave sipes help support traction, stability, wet and snow grip, stone evacuation, and more even wear.

Great tire. However, original balance could have been better. Experiencing a slight front end shake around 60mph. Need to make an appointment for a rebalancing. This is my third set of the Toyo open country AT.

For a daily driver tire this is it! I’ve had terrible luck with BFG before and I couldn’t wait to get them off my 4Runner. I’ve ran the Toyo R/Ts and M/Ts in the past and liked them a lot. With that being said the AT3 does not disappoint, part of me could go for a slightly more aggressive sidewall but the driving comfort and how silent these are on the road makes me forget about that entirely. If you’re in the fence between these and other all terrains… I can confidently recommend the Toyo AT3 to about anyone who is doing mostly city and highway driving.

Tires are on a Jeep Grand Cherokee trailhawk edition. I wanted something to beef up the look of the car, and these did it! They are not as noisy as I anticipated, which is nice. I haven't driven them in snow yet, but looking forward to that coming up. I can't really comment about tread life on the tires as they were just put on a few months back.
