About Our Tire Shop

The North Tryon/University Discount Tire has you covered for new rims and tires. We’re located in the Commons at Chancellor Park on North Tryon Street, just north of University City Boulevard.

From our six service bays, our experts provide excellent service to our customers, including wheel and tire installation, rotation, balancing, and repair. 

Observe from our showroom and help yourself to free Wi-Fi. If you prefer to venture out, check out the nearby Northlake Mall.

Stop in for a complimentary air pressure check and inspection. We welcome walk-ins or schedule an appointment.

Excellent services and friendly staff. There is a construction in progress but they are open. One staff was so nice that put chair outside for us to wait our cars. I bought 4 tires due to a competitive price.

I stopped in because one of my brand new tires kept leaking air and needed air added to it several times in 24 hours for my 2015 Tahoe. They immediately got my truck in a bay and inspected the issue, replaced the valve for free, relearned all the tires to display PSI on the dash and replaced my windshield wipers!! Their customer service was immaculate and they service time only took about 30 minutes! I am glad I stopped for assistance!

I found a great deal on TireRack for a new set of Pirelli P Zero’s for my wife’s 2022 KIA Telluride. I had them shipped to the store on N Tryon which only took 3 days. I made my appointment online with Discount Tire. When I showed up for my appointment, I was greeted in the parking lot at my car by a technician who checked me in. I waited less than 20 minutes for my tires to be replaced and I was shocked! I definitely recommend Discount Tire and TireRack when needed to replace your tires. Fast, Friendly, and an all around awesome experience!
