Minnesota waste tire fees are not based on statute.

Upon a customer's request, DT is required to provide a written estimate for repairs costing $100 to $7,500 if the shop agrees to perform the repairs. The shop's final price cannot exceed its written estimate by more than ten percent without the prior authorization of the customer.

You must request that the estimate be in writing. An oral estimate is not subject to the above repair cost limitations.

If the shop charges a fee for the storage or care of repaired motor vehicles or appliances, the shop shall conspicuously display a sign that states the amount assessed for storage or care, when the charge begins to accrue, and the interval of time between assessments.

Discount Tire discloses, and the customer acknowledges, that there may be a need for additional repairs not ascertainable at the time any written estimate was provided. The customer acknowledges that as repairs progress, Discount Tire may encounter additional damage, the repairs for which will need to be supplemented on the repair estimate, and this may increase the cost of repair noted herein.

-Any charge for storage or care, a service call, or a charge for making an estimate shall be in addition to the estimated price for the repairs.

An additional charge of $____ will be applied for disassembly, diagnosis, and reassembly necessary for making an estimate.

Vehicle Protection Product

The obligations of the warrantor to the warranty holder are guaranteed under a warranty reimbursement insurance policy. The obligations of the warrantor under this warranty are backed by the full faith and credit of the warrantor.

If you must make a claim against a party other than the warranty reimbursement insurance policy issuer, the warranty holder is entitled to make a direct claim against the insurer upon the failure of the warrantor to pay any claim or meet any obligation under the terms of the warranty within 60 days after proof of loss has been filed with the warrantor.
