Professional service. No games very honest and transparent about tires.

I was here for a similar reason to the last time, for a flat tire. Though that tire was my spare and I seriously underestimated how long it has been...thought it had been 4 years but turned out to be 7 when they checked...whew time flies. I found a screw in the tread of my left rear tire, they patched it, but also asked me lots of questions...I had bought my previous set of tires elsewhere (but before that bought at Discount Tire) and he asked me why I didn't buy them at Discount...I told him that the tires in my size priced out significantly lower than at Discount. He then told me that they matched prices if they sold same/similar tire (guess inferring I should have bought them at Discount. Frankly, I'm tired of hearing of price "matching" ...I hate marketing that relies on it. I don't have endless time to check and recheck prices, so if you claim to have a lower price, put your cards on the table and offer it for that price without gimmick of price matching. Like I keep getting calls for auto insurance the month after I renew (for the year). I know I can get a refund on unused portion of insurance if I switch but I just spent considerable time shopping for insurance before I bought, and don't wish to repeat that (they say it takes little or no time, but that's not true in my experience...especially if you also shop for home and umbrella policy at same time). So, if Discount tire wants me to continue to buy tires for them, they will need to put their cards on the table and give me their lowest price when I first inquire, no price matching (do I need to always call them last so I have my lowest price that they'll match?) On the other hand, Discount is handy place for balance and mounting plus tire plug..just wish they also did alignment (shouldn't you get your car aligned after you buy tires, especially if they don't wear evenly?
