Danny was the gentleman that was the service tech who helped me. Excellent service
Sean transformed what could have easily been a stressful experience into one I’m happy to write review for. After ordering and paying for a set of BFG KO3s in the factory size (LT285/75R18) for my new-to-me F-250 4x4 Tremor a week earlier online (which your site said was available), I was informed via phone call that the tires were out of stock nationwide with no indication of when they’d be available. I stopped into my local store, and another associate (not Sean) suggested I consider the same brand in the 35/12.5R18s… essentially the same diameter, and an additional 1.25” width…. and with 33 in stock nearby. I agreed. The tires arrived the next day and I had them installed, with the same certificates I always buy from DT. The tech mentioned that one of the tires had a “road force” of 85 while balancing, far outside the normal range. After installation, it quickly became apparent that something was not right. At highway speeds, the vehicle had a shimmy that made things in the truck vibrate and loudly shake. I could also tell (visually and confirmed with a T-square) that the tread pattern was not flat, but rather bowed out in the middle. I returned to the store, and another associate (#2, not Sean) suggested I try lower than standard air pressure, and get an alignment done before we pursued anything being wrong with the tires themselves. I lowered pressures from 60f/70r to 55 all around with no improvement, and scheduled an alignment with Waxahachie Ford, though the service advisor at Ford said being out of alignment would not be causing this issue. I stopped back by the store to let them know the lower pressure results, and that I’d scheduled the truck for an alignment at the dealership. This is when I met Sean for the first time. And boy, am I glad I did. As I related all the above, he patiently listened and then told me he agreed with Ford: this wasn’t an alignment issue. He said the problem was almost certainly the fact that the 35s require a wider wheel than the factory 8” wheel. When mounted on an 8” wheel, he explained, the tire is being squeezed too tightly at the bead, and bulges the tread out and causes ride issues, especially at speed. I wasn’t happy to learn that the first salesperson didn’t mention this, and that after spending $2356 for the tires, I was now going to have to also buy new wheels. Sean explained that wheels are his specialty, and that’s why he was so confident in his assessment. Sean was patient and kind. He worked with his managers to lessen the blow… he price matched an in-stock 9.5x18 wheel, comp’d the new black lug nuts the wheels needed, and covered labor charges. He kept me thoroughly informed on the process, including letting me know what road force he was seeing during the balancing procedure. One tire was still very much on the high side, but the other balanced much better on the new wheels than the old ones. I took the truck for a test drive, and the issue was 85% improved. I returned to DT to report my findings to Sean, who had called me during my test drive to make sure things were going okay, and who stayed past the end of his shift to be there when I returned. Sean personally loaded my old wheels and then cleaned the tires and finished installation of the center hub covers (which we had left off for the test drive in case we decided to remove the wheels, should they not resolve the issue). Sean also ordered a replacement tire for the one that was so hard to balance, and two days later (today) personally oversaw the installation of that tire as well. He also transferred my certificate from the original tire to the new one at no charge. Yes, I had to spend significantly more money (an additional $1831), but without Sean’s efforts it would have been much more. He resolved the issue and kept me from spending more money at the dealership to chase suspension issues that didn’t exist. Sean is an asset to your organization, and exactly the kind of person that should be in a customer-centric management role.
Gabriel and team did a great job getting my tires installed and the wipers, and they were super efficient. I was in and out in no time at all. This is why they are my go to!
Staff is courteous and professional, and always acknowledge your presence. Online scheduling is very convenient and all my questions and concerns were addressed. My tires were rotated and I had my windshield wipers replaced. Very satisfied with the service provided. Hunter and Tanner are very good at their jobs. Actually, they are great!
It was great! They were super kind and quickly finished!
Just ask for Christopher
