New Tires and Wheel Store in Bellingham, WA 98229

After numerous visits to this location in Bellingham on Lakeway Drive, I am reminded just how professional and knowledgeable the staff are regarding their products and services. ONE DOWNSIDE though is the fact their systems DO NOT show if a previous tire purchase INCLUDED the extended warranty. This situation made for a great deal of confusion and frustration when it came to a warranty issue and subsequent COSTS FOR REPAIR / REPLACEMENT in my part. I HAD purchased the extended warranty on a set of four Bridgestone tires and unfortunately one tire hit a nail and due to the fact it had punctured the sidewall it was unrepairable. The tires still had over 60% tire tread. Initially I was quoted over $1200+ for the replacement of ALL FOUR tires due to our vehicle being an All Wheel Drive, WOW (all of this over one nail in a sidewall)! When I had my wife finally email over a copy of the original receipt showing that we had indeed purchased the extended warranty on these tires, after a good hour of reviewing the "terms and conditions" of this extended warranty, and with the help of the front counter staff doing their BEST to rectify the situation, and then FINALLY getting the manager to approve (this delay in itself (45 minutes minimum) was beyond frustrating as the manager was difficult to say the least to pin down, we FINALLY were able to get me out of there at cost of $600, four new tires, extended warranty, and relief all around. YES, Discount Tire is still (in my humble opinion) the BEST place in town for tires (even better than Costco should you have a membership which we do), if they could only have their systems relay the proper information it would be so much easier for both staff and customers to have a positive seamless experience, unlike mine.

Incredible to watch how well they interact out front and see how the guys in the shop seem to enjoy their work and each other. They have really created a vibe here that separates them from the mediocre. Hats off
