You may not be driving for NASCAR or Formula 1, but that doesn't mean you can't give your ride the race-worthy look it deserves.
Wheels make the winner, so if you want your speed demon to come in first in looks and performance, you need the right performance tires and the best racing rims.
Luckily, our wheel experts have done their research and come up with the best racing wheels for 2025!
STREET RACE WHEELS CONSTRUCTION
As a personal style choice, the biggest factor in wheel choice is how they look. That's why we picked out the most stylish rims we have. Another factor? Wheel construction. How rims are built impacts strength, weight and performance.
The most common wheel construction types are casting, flow forming and forging.
Cast wheels are constructed by pouring an aluminum alloy into a mold. They're the most affordable option and are great options for aesthetic touch ups, every day driving and occasional performance applications.
A hybrid between casting and forging, flow-formed rims may cost more than cast wheels. Flow-forming involves taking a cast wheel and superheating while spinning it until it reaches the right size. This yields a stronger, lighter wheel (15 to 25% lighter than cast) and increases its shock resistance, improving its race-like handling.
Forged from a solid block of aluminum that is heated and molded using pressurized machines, forged rims are the strongest, lightest rims. They're also the priciest. Essentially a custom-level job, forged wheels offer unparalleled performance.
TSW has a unique rotary-forged process that allows for their cast wheels to take on the strength and quality of a forged wheel without the high cost.
For performance, wheel weight is the primary concern. Lightweight rims provide more dynamic steering response, and reduce rolling resistance for faster launches and stopping. Plus, they reduce the impact on suspension components.
Strength is also a very close second consideration, as the strain of racing may be more than OE wheels and tires can handle.
Wheel size is also a consideration. While larger diameter wheels look slick and come with wider tires that provide a more responsive grip, smaller rim diameters may be more comfortable on the road. Whatever your preference, just make sure your new wheels fit safely and have the load bearing capacity you need for your ride.
BEST STREET RACE WHEELS
Whether you want tighter handling for faster lap times or to give your street ride first-place looks, these wheel picks should be at the top of your mod list.
We pulled a broad selection of wheel styles, construction types and price points. In general, these wheels will fit a range of vehicles from a souped up Honda Civic to off-the-lot models designed for performance like the Toyota Supra, VW Golf GTI, and even the Subaru WRX, BRZ or STI. These wheels may also be a good fit for your peppy domestic models like the Ford Mustang and Ford Focus or the Chevy Camaro and Chevy SS.
Some luxury German sports cars like the BMW 3 series and Audi A3 or A4 can also benefit from some of these top race wheel picks.
(If you drive an import tuner, many of these rims are a great option for you, but be sure to check out our rundown on JDM style rims specifically.)
With that, let's break down our favorite racing wheels for 2025!
Kansei Corsa
First up is the Kansei Corsa. With its clean, classic mesh design, your tuner will look spiffy after this upgrade. Kansei touts their modern construction with a classic design that hails from the good ol' times. You can see the nostalgic touch in its stepped lip.
If you're after a timeless look with superior brake clearance (gotta show them off, of course), this is the place to start and perhaps end your search.
Available in 18-inch diameters and regal textured bronze or gloss gunmetal finishes, it's the perfect pairing for any paint color. Built with Kansei's advanced "FORMLITE" flow-forming process, the Corsa also boasts a lightweight, tough back half barrel.
Note that tuner style (60-degree conical bolts) are required for this racing rim.
Enkei RPF1
Enkei is a custom aftermarket wheel brand that manufactures high-tech racing style wheels for a variety of racing styles. They even supply the lightweight magnesium Formula 1 race wheels to the McLaren Honda team!
The RPF1 from their racing series uses the Most Advanced Technology (M.A.T), a one-piece casting and spinning process for dramatically improved strength. It also reduces the weight by 10 to 15%, keeping unsprung weight low.
The RPF1's unique pocket design also keeps the wheel rigid and reduces heat build up during high-speed use.
Its modern split-spoke design will elevate even a commuter car up to the ranks of racing legends. Built in a range of sizes, offsets and bolt patterns, it fits many car models.
Pick the RPF1 and you'll also love the spectrum of finishes, including F1 Silver, Gold, Black and SBC.
Kӧnig Hypergram
Kӧnig Wheels has been setting their standards high for going on half a century. Their bread and butter are enthusiasts looking for the next big evolution in wheel design and manufacturing. They're also one of the more budget-friendly brands.
But you wouldn't guess that from the Hypergram's undeniable good looks. This motorsports-inspired performance wheel delivers a sleek, contemporary style with high tensile strength and a lightweight body.
The Hypergram is flow-formed, making it less susceptible to damage from rough roads or debris. The contemporary 12-spoke design looks good on nearly any vehicle type, and the race bronze, matte gray and red opal finishes are truly the finishing touch.
Available in 15, 17 and 18-inch sizes, it's ideal for OE fitments, up-sizing or staggered setups.
Sparco Assetto Gara
The Assetto Gara from Italian race wheel maker, Sparco, is a high class racing wheel that combines modern innovation with tradition. This wheel is all about prestige.
It's a 10 spoke technical design with tapered spokes, a thin lip and an inset hub face for an elegant look. This minimal design is perfect for cooling and optimizing race performance. It's a cast monoblock (read: one piece) aluminum alloy build for a lightweight finish.
If you like that European flair, the Assetto Gara (literally meaning "race setup") has it in spades with high-end finishes like matte bronze and matte black. You'll find it suits a wide range of vehicles with 15 to 20-inch fitments and four and five-lug applications.
It comes with a host of certifications and is TPMS ready, run-flat compatible and winter-proof.
Motegi Racing MR145 Traklite 3.0
Motegi Racing specializes in street and track tuner-style wheels. Performance is forever on the forefront of their mind when designing their racing rims.
The MR145 Traklite 3.0 is a flow-formed aluminum wheel with incredible strength and low overall weight. This enthusiast-centric wheel has a classic six-spoke design with TRAKLITE badging on one spoke to really drive home its racing foundations.
It comes in 17 and 18-inch sizes with satin black or matte bronze finishes and popular five-lug bolt patterns.
6061 V-Forged VF57
Any wheel from 6061 V-Forged Wheels is going to be a real race-ready option, but we especially like the VF57 for its snappy, slender design and satin titanium finish.
The VF57 includes painted knurled barrel sections, allowing for tire adhesion against slippage while simultaneously allowing the moisture barrier to prevent corrosion. Part of their Street Forged series, the VF57's strength and durability ensures vehicle safety in a diverse set of road conditions.
V-Forged uses 6061-T6 aircraft aluminum with a forged construction that is superior to cast or flow-formed options. They craft street racing wheels especially for road use that are capable of handling modern vehicles with their increased horsepower and weight.
It comes in 17 to 21-inch diameters and popular five-lug bolt patterns.
BUDGET RACING WHEELS
No one is going to pretend that ramping up your ride is easy or inexpensive! But, don't despair. We guarantee the lowest prices, plus we have some pocketbook-friendly options for those who want style on a budget.
Drag DR-82
Drag Wheels are frequently the go-to aftermarket pick for race-inspired looks. They're a passionate brand with tons of experience in the tuning and Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) scene. They build wheels using three casting processes: gravity, low pressure and low pressure/flow forming casting.
The DR-82 is a racing rim with a layered design and a classic tuner style. Each spoke is beveled to add a high-end sense of dimension, and the gloss black, frozen bronze and silver finishes will level up the look of any ride.
This is an excellent racing inspired wheel for your typical tuner sedan or coupe like the Honda Civic and Toyota Camry.
Budget buyers also like Drag's lifetime structural warranty and one year finish warranty.
Kӧnig Rennform
We've mentioned Kӧnig before but we had to mention them again because they're just that good, and they sit at an approachable price point.
You can see this in the Rennform, a motorsports-inspired multi-spoke wheel with a striking face and beautiful matte gray finish. This wheel looks like a million bucks (but certainly doesn't cost that). Plus, it's flow-formed for impressive strength and weight.
It comes in many sizes for popular tuner passenger vehicles and European sports cars. It's perfect for low-offsets, too.
